Ever feel as though you can’t stop the incessant negative thoughts in your head?
That you hold on to a negative situation and keep replaying it over and over?
You’re not alone! We seem to have this habit of going over things that lead us to experience painful feelings.
If we begin to identify the negative states instead of identifying with them we can stop the over-thinking that arises let go of the painful feelings that arise.
In Buddha’s teachings we find methods to recognise the inappropriate attention that gives rise to negative states. When we do this we will see we can choose not to pick up and hold these negative states anymore. Then we can choose instead to pick up and hold positive states that lead to an experience of peace and calm.
