ABOUT THIS ‘SIMPLY MEDITATE’ CLASS
Meditation is often misunderstood to be a practice of emptying the mind. It’s actually a tool to train the mind, a bit like going to the gym, but for the mind.
Just like training in the gym leads to optimum physical health, likewise training in meditation leads to optimum mental well-being.
Meditation also doesn’t take hours out of your day, if anything it helps save you time as you start to feel happier, less stressed and more focused.
In this upcoming series, ‘Simply Meditate’, Gen Lhachog will teach simple and practical techniques you can use in your busy daily life to be optimise your mental wellbeing. These classes will be based upon the Living Meditation series of downloads from Tharpa Publications and the book ‘How To Transform Your Life‘.
This is a great opportunity to overcome challenges we can all face such as stress to ensuring you’ve got a toolkit you can use in any situation.
You will learn:
- learn coping mechanisms for stress, anxiety, worry, anger.
- increase your emotional intelligence.
- feel more peaceful, lighter and calmer in daily life.
Quote from New Eight Steps to Happiness by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
“Happiness is a state of mind, so the real source of happiness must lie within the mind, not in external conditions. If our mind is pure and peaceful we shall be happy, regardless of our external circumstances, but if it is impure and unpeaceful we can never be truly happy, no matter how hard we try to change our external conditions. We could change our home or our partner countless times, but until we change our restless, discontented mind we shall never find true happiness.”
