We all want to be kind don’t we? What does that depend on?
Why not join us for this one-off talk in Maryport and find out more.
We don’t have to wait for others to be kind to us before we develop a kind heart towards them.
Kindness is a state of mind. We can always choose a good intention, attitude or view.
We can decide to wish others to be happy, we can decide to think others are important, we can decide to choose love. We have this choice!
Starting with those around us we can grow our kind heart to reach more and more people. This warm heart and feeling close to others will then protect us from arguments, jealousy and loneliness.
In Buddha’s teachings we find timeless wisdom that can guide us to the best views and a beautiful open heart. All we need to do is change our minds following the contemplations and meditations presented on loving kindness in
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s book, The New Eight Steps to Happiness.
