Did you know that you have your own inner potential for calm!
Through breathing meditation we can begin to connect with our own inner calm that is often hidden by mental busyness. By doing this we can then start to identify which thoughts and attitudes in our mind are leading us to this calm and which are taking us away from it.
Over these weeks we will learn about different breathing techniques taught in Kadampa Buddhism. We will also look at how we begin to identify beneficial and harmful thoughts and attitudes so that we can easily hold or let go of them.
Come along to these Workington meditation classes in November and found out more.
Resource: How to Transform Your Life
“Just by doing breathing meditation for ten or fifteen minutes each day, we will be able to reduce this stress. We will experience a calm, spacious feeling in the mind, and many of our usual problems will fall away. Difficult situations will become easier to deal with, we will naturally feel warm and well disposed towards other people, and our relationships with others will gradually improve.”

Gen Kelsang Lhachog has been practising and teaching Kadampa meditation for over 20 years. Originally from West Cumbria she has travelled extensively and is happy to be back on local ground. She shares Buddha’s teachings, as presented by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, with a lightness and clarity.
This class is held at Studio 2, The Carnegie Theatre, Finkle Street, Workington, CA14 2BD
