  • Venue

Uma Kadampa Meditation Centre, 16 Spencer St, CA1 1BG.

Normally we find it difficult to maintain a positive attitude and a sense of well-being when things go wrong.  However, difficult situations and difficult people can only make us unhappy if we respond to them with a negative state of mind.

Over this 4 week course we will look at how we can transform life’s difficulties into a peaceful mind and a good intention.

In this way we will be able to see all our daily challenges from a different perspective and instead of becoming frustrated or upset we will be able to maintain a light and positive outlook.

The teacher of this course will be Gen Kelsang Lhachog.

Gen Lhachog is the Resident Teacher at Uma Kadampa Meditation Centre.  She has been studying, practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism for over 20 years under the guidance of Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

  • What is the structure of the class?

Each class begins with a short introduction and a guided breathing meditation.  Then there is a short talk followed by a guided meditation based on the talk to develop a positive and beneficial outlook.  Finally there is 5-10 minutes to talk to others in the group about what we have looked at.  Also after the class there are refreshments for anyone who would like to stay and chat more.
