We are a Buddhist Centre based in Carlisle that is part of the New Kadampa Tradition with our main centre at Conishead Priory in Ulverston.
We offer educational talks/workshops to schools, colleges and universities on Buddhist philosophy and meditation practice.
We have experience of running these interactive talks/workshops for all ages and tailored to what is being studied or an overview of Buddha’s life story, Buddhist rituals, Buddhist community, ordained community and practising meditation. It would include time for the students to engage with the various ritual practices if they wish, engage in simple guided meditation and to ask questions.
These talks are run by an ordained Buddhist nun, Gen Kelsang Lhachog who has been ordained for 17 years and practising for 25 years.
We can run these talks at our Centre, limited to 30 students per session, or at the school, college or university.
We do make a small charge to cover our costs of £2 per student + travel costs if applicable.
